2002 Subaru WRX

This 2002 Subaru WRX is our "boring" car, because we've kept it almost entirely stock. This is our "reliable" car for long road trips, shopping at Home Depot, etc.

Despite that, we love the WRX and are very impressed with the performance, quality, and reliability it had to offer in 100% stock form. Before doing any mods, we ran 14.379 @ 94.07 at Norwalk in Ohio. The car is solid and stable, and handles great. I had the chance to take hit some curved, hilly, unpopulated country roads in Virginia, and it was an absolute blast - probably the most fun I've ever had in a car.

If we ever replace this car, it will likely be with another WRX (probably an STi, which wasn't available back in 2002).

Modifications:

Buschur Racing 3" stainless turbo-back exhaust (downpipe + cat-back)
this is the actual prototype exhaust from Buschur's test WRX

Less restrictive up-pipe (between the exhaust manifold and turbo)
I fabricated this one myself - photos here

Blitz panel air filter for factory airbox

Modified plastic intake resonator for better flow

Some nice stuff we just haven't got around to installing yet:
Autometer Lunar Boost, EGT, and A/F gauges, Samco intercooler hoses, Hallman Boost Controller, White-face indiglo in-dash gauge faces.
